Thank you for visiting our Prayer/Needs Page!
Prayer is an essential part of the SixTen Community. Through this page we will place prayer requests given by our classmates. Please check back often as the prayer requests will be updated regularly. If you have a prayer request please feel free to contact us through the contact sheet below. Also, if you have any other needs that you would like our leader’s to be aware of please contact us. Below are our current prayer requests:
Please pray for…
Missionary in urgent need of prayer
Please pray for a friend of Patricia’s named Karen who is a missionary and who is also pregnant with their fourth child. Karen is having complications with her pregnancy, and she is far from home and unable to get some of the care she needs. Please pray over the next 14 days for wisdom and discernment in this situation. Feel free to ask Patricia for updates on this family and their situation as you are led of the Lord to do so. Thank you!
Brian Johnson
Brian has been made aware of a friend who has a sudden, serious illness (sepsis) and may die. Please lift up Jeff in your prayers.
Life Giving Saturday
Please join us in praying for Life Giving Saturday. In particular, if you would just spend five minutes praying this week for the following, that would be awesome!
Safety for work crews doing house projects
Desire and ability to give to the gift basket project
Families receiving the gift baskets to see Jesus and to surrender their lives to Him if they have not already done so.
Annie
Please pray that she could get a dryer. The climate can be very damp this time of year, and the voltage in her home does not allow for a dryer without some special work done. Please pray that they would be able to find a person to do the electrical work on her home, or that they could find another option that would be safe and work well. Please also pray for their ability to get their internet reconnected. It is down for some reason, and they do not know why.
Patricia
We continue to pray for Patricia and the pain she experiences on a daily basis (sometimes excruciating) due to her eye surgeries. Please continue to pray for Patricia – that the Lord would strengthen her and carry her through these days. We also have a praise that she recently received a partial diagnosis as to what may be going on, but she is still very wary of new procedures and also very weary as you can imagine. Please pray for strength for Patricia, and for the Lord to heal and help. Please remember that on Monday, April 18th in the Blue Room we will be holding a prayer service for Patricia at 7pm.
Your Request?
We pray for you and want to know updates, praises and also your needs. Please take a moment now to send us an update to a past prayer request you have sent in, or a new prayer request that the leaders and/or our entire class can pray for. Please send an email to Christina with any prayer requests.
Need help with your prayer life? Below are some places we’ve found to help with that…

- Voice of the Martyrs Prayer Bulletin
- Unreached People Groups to pray for
“For God is my witness, how I long for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ” (Phil. 1:8-10)
Thank you for spending time in prayer for our SixTen fellowship group as well. Pray for protection for leaders and their families, wisdom and discernment as we seek to plan and lead, Godly unity among leaders and classmates, spiritual growth, enjoyment of time alone with God and increasing hunger for Him and His glory. Thank you SixTen!
