Movie Review: Courageous

Courageous through the eyes of a SixTen Cinephile (aka Alex Waardenburg):

Last Friday I bought a ticket to see the film ‘Courageous‘ despite the temptation to see ‘the Lion King in 3D’. This is a decision I do not regret. ‘Courageous’ is the fourth and latest film produced by Sherwood Pictures, a ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church. The film follows the lives of four policemen as they face challenges in their families and in their jobs.  If you’ve heard anything about this film you probably already know it’s filled with conviction and has a strong message about fatherhood, but what surprised me was that it was full of laughs, action and a plot that kept the film moving. Make no mistake, this film leaves no emotional stone unturned, but it does so in a way that flows seamlessly within the story. And, unless you happen to be defending earth from autonomous alien robots for the third time, ‘Courageous’ will be the most relevant film you will see this year. Courageous will keep you entertained, make you think, and has the potential to have an impact on your life. As Larry the Cucumber says “I laughed, I cried, it moved me Bob”.

You can watch a trailer for the film here.
